A dedicated, experienced, skilled professional staff joined by strong, caring, and
generous Boards of Directors, provide a full spectrum of services to promote and
ensure the happiness, comfort, well-being and safety of every resident.
The staff assists with personal hygiene, offering help with bathing, grooming and
dressing. There is a prescription medication management program; and resident health
is monitored on a continual basis... including blood pressure and blood sugar readings.
A Nurse and social worker round out the health and wellness team. In addition, the
Cottage features a well equipped and supervised Wellness Center, with exercise classes,
offering a holistic approach to a healthy lifestyle.
Individual medical records are on kept on file. Doctor appointments are made and
transportation is provided. And all staff is trained in emergency medical procedures.
An on-staff Social Worker, Andee Cantavero, stands ready to assist residents with
Medicare forms, financial assistance applications, transition support, and other
personal needs.
Security at the Cottage is a 24/7 business: and the staff is fully trained in security
procedures. There is an emergency call bell in every room and bathroom, as well
as an intercom link to the reception desk that is manned 24 hours a day. Valuables
can be secured. Sprinklers and smoke alarms are placed throughout. Both police and
fire personnel are only five minutes away.
Every spacious resident room is completely private and air-conditioned. Housekeeping
and linen service is provided, along with free Cable TV, three delicious meals and
snacks daily, a wide spectrum of inside and outside activities, and a full complement
of state-of-the art facilities.
Local transportation is provided for any resident needs through Call-A-Ride, the
Red Cross, or TAG (the Greenwich Transportation Agency). For trips outside of the
Greenwich area, the Cottage owns a fully equipped, 12-passenger Club Van.
